Background
Mark Stevens is a seasoned operating executive in the plastic film and extrusion coating industry. He spent 29 years with Transilwrap Company, a former Nicolet Capital portfolio company headquartered in Frankly Park, IL. After starting his career in public accounting, Mr. Stevens joined Transilwrap in 1984 and worked his way through the organization to become President and CEO in 2000.
Under Mr. Steven’s leadership, Transilwrap’s revenues grow by 70% and the company emerged as the largest extrusion coater and independent converter of plastic films in North America. Mr. Stevens forged strategic relationships with global film manufacturers including DuPont, Mitsubishi and PPG. He transitioned Transilwrap from 75 years of family ownership leading a management buyout in 2004 before partnering with Nicolet Capital to acquire the company in 2007. Mr. Stevens served as President and CEO of Transilwrap for three years during Nicolet Capital’s ownership and remained on its Board of Directors until Nicolet Capital sold the business to another private equity firm in 2013.
In 2012, Mr. Stevens took a consulting position with USI, Inc., a distributor of film lamination products and equipment. He subsequently became Director of USI’s commercial print division and is currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
