Keith S. Harbison
Founder and Former Chairman, President and CEO, Pretium Packaging
Background
Keith Harbison founded Pretium Packaging, LLC, a former Nicolet Capital portfolio company, in 1992. The company acquired eleven individual operating businesses to become one of the largest custom plastic bottle manufacturers in North America serving the personal care, pharmaceutical, food, and household chemical markets. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Pretium operates twelve manufacturing facilities from southern California through the Midwest, Northeast and eastern Canada. Prior to the sale of Pretium in 2010 to Nicolet Capital and other investors, Mr. Harbison served as its Chairman, CEO and President. He continued to serve as a director and consultant to Pretium and was an investor in the company until it was sold to another private equity firm in 2014.
In 2014 Mr. Harbison formed, and is the managing partner of Altius Partners, a small cap private equity firm focused on acquiring control positions in businesses under $50 million in revenue. The firm invests in companies that can benefit from the operating experience gained by Mr. Harbison and his partners who, during their careers in diverse industries, have successfully built relatively small business into industry leaders. Alitus has a long term view of investing with expected hold periods of 10 to 20 years.
