InterFlex is a leading flexible packaging company serving diverse end markets including poultry, meat snacks, pet food, baked goods and confectionary products. InterFlex operates five manufacturing locations in the U.S. and U.K. that offer an extensive range of value-added flexible packaging solutions to sophisticated global consumer product customers. The company’s converting capabilities include a fleet of modern 8/10 color flexographic presses at each facility along with coating, laminating and value-added pouch and bag making. As an independent converter with strong research, product development and process technology competencies, InterFlex has a track record of utilizing a wide range of substrates, coatings and other materials to develop innovative packaging systems that deliver superior performance and value.
Based on our prior experience in the flexible packaging segment and insight into key industry dynamics, we determined that InterFlex’s technical capabilities and business model were well positioned to generate strong organic growth. Nicolet Capital had developed a strong pipeline of potential add-on acquisitions prior to its investment in InterFlex. After working with management to refine the company’s strategic objectives, we leveraged this knowledge to complete a proprietary add-on acquisition in early 2014. InterFlex is actively pursuing other strategic acquisitions in North America, the U.K. and throughout Europe.
“Nicolet Capital Partners has significant flexible packaging industry expertise that provided for a highly efficient diligence process. In addition, Nicolet’s financing process was well organized and completed in a timely manner that accommodated the cross-border complexities of the transaction. InterFlex has an experienced and committed management team and in combination with Nicolet’s extensive industry experience with other packaging and converting businesses, this opportunity represents a strong partnership that is well-positioned for future success.”
