Nicolet Capital Investors, LLC, a private equity firm in Chicago, IL, commented on the announcement that Shari’s Management Corporation, headquartered in Beaverton, OR, has been sold to a financial investor group in a transaction valued at approximately $80 million.
Shari’s is the dominant family dining chain in the Pacific Northwest operating 97 units in Washington, Oregon and surrounding states. The company has nearly a 30 year history of providing customers with high quality, reasonably priced meals. Shari’s units are open 24 hours a day and offer a menu that includes a broad range of breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert items in a comfortable atmosphere.

Previously, Mr. Snyder had been responsible for a significant investment in Shari’s on behalf of another investment firm.

The transaction marks the second successful exit in the past week in which Nicolet Capitalís President has been directly involved. Last week, the firm was involved in the successful recapitalization of an investment in a fire protection contracting business. Mr. Snyder also managed this investment on behalf of another investment firm and was on the board of directors of the company prior to the exit.
